Amongst the many painted walls and edgy breweries of Kaka'ako is #SunTeaMix808. It is a beautiful shop with incredible tea. You could tell that they place emphasis on both the quality of their drinks their presentation. Every drink looked like a piece of art. What especially stood out to us were the chunks of fresh fruit in Mia's Strawberry Milk ($6.25). They made Nesquik look like powdered milk-- oh wait.

At this point, you're probably wondering: Is this a boba review page? Do they just like all boba tea? Pshhhh no and no. First of all, Mia is extremely picky with her bubble tea. She also orders strawberry everywhere she goes, so she has accidentally done a very controlled experiment per bubble tea places. Second of all, these places stand out. Cowcow's Tea (from our last review) and Sun Tea Mix 808 have incredible drink recipes, perfectly cooked boba, and beautiful presentation. Although it is true that the more boba you drink, the more you crave, we will handpick other types of shops....promise! Don't worry. With this being said, if you have any local faves you want us to try, please DM us on Instagram (@hapa_handpicked)!

Okay, back to business...

Jolie ordered a Brown Sugar Boba Milk ($6.25) and it was very delicious. The milk, which was basically cream, was barely sweet, so you could taste the sweetness of the brown sugar. It looked amazing and tasted even better. It also had a really fresh taste to it despite having no fruit.

Sun Tea Mix 808 is great quality, delicious, and fresh. Definitely swing by Kaka'ako and swoop some Sun Tea. We haven't tried all of the flavors, but the Strawberry Milk and Brown Sugar Milk were definitely winners!
